What is Kamui Vintage?

Kamui Vintage specializes in providing authentic Japanese antiques, collectibles, and hard-to-find goods, delivered directly to you from our location in northern Japan. Husband-and-wife team John and Mutsumi seek out and procure special Japanese collectibles, including everything from Japanese pottery and tea ceremony items to katagami, lacquerware, and even Japanese Buddhist items.

Thanks to our northern-based location, we can access many Ainu-crafted goods. The Ainu are an indigenous ethnic group who reside in northern Japan and Southeastern Russia, including Hokkaido and the Tōhoku region of Honshu, an area well-known for traditional Japanese antiques. Our main focus at Kamui Vintage is to provide our customers with unique, individual items that are not mass-produced—the rarer, the better.

At Kamui Vintage, we pride ourselves on personal service. If you have a question or a special request, please contact us. We are happy to arrange custom orders or help you find a specific item in Japan. We also set aside small gifts to include with every order. In the past, these have included small dolls, furoshiki wrapping cloths, small paintings, and more. We hope you enjoy your small omiyage from Japan.

How to Order

If you see something you like, let us know which items you would like to purchase, and we will send you a custom invoice to ensure you receive the best possible shipping rate. Please note that there is a time difference, but we will get back to you as soon as possible. We accept most forms of payment.

We also buy antique’s items on a daily basis so feel free to email us photos of your items and we’ll make you an offer.
